Smart IONM(intraoperative neuromonitoring)
NCC Smart IONM system is an intraoperative neuro monitoring system which helps reduce the risk of nerve damage during various of types of surgery and identify the integrity of nerve function before the end of surgery through monitoring triggered EMG activities in multiple cranial and peripheral nerves. Especially applied in thyroid surgery, ENT, oral and maxillofacial surgery or simple spine surgery.
Key Features:

● One box integrates 8 recording channels and 2 stimulation channels, making it easy to operate.

● During surgery, various sound settings such as event sound, stimulus sound, and EMG sound can help detect nerves by determining the relative position of the detection point and the nerve based on voice intensity.

● Real-time impedance testing and stimulus current measurement during surgery to ensure reliable monitoring.

● Built-in standard and customized templates make it easy to convert and handle various surgery types without sophisticated settings.

● During testing or playback, you can add waveform annotations to make the output report clearer and more thorough.

● Default parameters are automatically preset based on the type of surgery, but they can be adjusted for optimal performance.

Thyroid cancer

Free Electromyography (Free EMG)

  • Monitors the traction responses of the recurrent laryngeal nerve and the vagus nerve.

Trigger Electromyography (Trigger EMG)

  • Electrically stimulates the recurrent laryngeal nerve or vagus nerve to locate the recurrent laryngeal nerve and vagus nerve.

Recommended Stimulation Electrodes:

  • XW220 - I
  • or W220

FAQ

1. Intraoperative neurostimulation monitor (IONM ) system ( For ENT surgery)

By virtue of its powerful function, the NCC intraoperative nerve stimulation monitor provides strong support for intraoperative nerve monitoring. The instrument has a rich template built-in, which can easily adapt to various types of surgical needs. Recurrent laryngeal nerve injury is a common complication of thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Hoarseness, choking, decreased voice, or loss of voice may occur. Unilateral recurrent laryngeal nerve injury results in temporary or permanent vocal cord paralysis, bilateral damage can lead to suffocation and even be life-threatening. The introduction of intraoperative nerve monitoring not only makes the operation more reasonable, but also improves the safety and greatly reduces the doctor-patient disputes

2. Intelligent adaptation, efficient and convenient

Built-in rich surgical template, adapt to a variety of types of surgery, complex surgery one-button switch, 5 seconds fast response.

Automatic impedance test function, real-time monitoring module connection stability, reliable operation of equipment, eliminate signal interference.

3. Nerve injury warning

Recurrent laryngeal nerve real-time monitoring: dynamic capture of nerve signal fluctuations, sensitivity up to 0.1 ma, accurate identification of small changes.

Abnormal signal immediate alarm: such as vocal cord paralysis signs and other risks early warning, doctors can immediately adjust the operation to avoid permanent damage.

4. Dual channel monitoring, double protection

Equipped with double stimulation channels, the vagus nerve and recurrent laryngeal nerve can be detected with“Double insurance”, which can significantly improve the monitoring accuracy.

Automatic labeling of EMG latency and amplitude, rapid analysis of surgical results, to provide doctors with key data support.

5. Data were recorded throughout the procedure to assist postoperative analysis

Automatic recording of monitoring data, support at any time playback, report output and print, easy to postoperative analysis, summary and case discussion.

6. Clinical value

Reducing the risk of complications: the risk of recurrent laryngeal nerve injury during thyroid surgery is reduced, and the risk of death from bilateral injury approaches zero.

Shorten the rehabilitation cycle: early intervention to reduce postoperative vocal cord dysfunction, the recovery efficiency of patients significantly improved.

Reducing medical disputes: objective monitoring data provides a legal chain of evidence that significantly reduces the incidence of disputes.
